Nicole Soriano
Theater Faculty
Nicole is full-time Theater Faculty at Walnut Hill School for the Arts, teaching Musical Theater I-IV, directing & choreographing the fall musical, and choreographing the spring musical. Nicole also directs and choreographs the annual Freshman/Sophomore Revue. She has performed, choreographed, directed and taught throughout MA, NYC, and PA. Walnut Hill credits include Mean Girls, Red Hot & Cole, All Night Strut, and Xanadu. Off-Broadway/National Tour credits include The Berenstain Bears, Live! Regional credits include North Shore Music Theatre, The Winnipesaukee Playhouse, New Hazlett Theater, Pittsburgh Playhouse.
Nicole was the Director of Theatre, Dance, & Music at Clark School for Creative Learning before coming to Walnut Hill. During her time at Clark, Nicole developed and taught all theater and dance curriculum, including Musical Theatre Techniques, Acting I-III, Scene Study, Audition Technique, Monologue Workshop, Musical Theater History, & Improvisation. She directed and choreographed up to seven productions per year, including the high school musical (Urinetown, Little Shop of Horrors, The 25th Annual.. Bee) middle school musical (High School Musical Jr, Seussical Jr), METG High School and Middle School Drama Festival entries (A Midsummer Night's Dream, For Whom the Southern Belle Tolls) spring play (Noises Off, Importance of Being Earnest), and summer theater intensives (She Kills Monsters, The Actor's Nightmare). Other choreography and directing credits include Marblehead Little Theatre (Mamma Mia-EMACT/DASH Best Choreography, Best Musical, Mary Poppins -EMACT/DASH Best Choreography Nominee), Burlington High School (Mary Poppins, METG Best Choreography Nominee, Peter Pan, METG Best Choreography Nominee), Stage 284 (The Drowsy Chaperone, The Little Mermaid), and Boston Children's Theatre (Legally Blonde, Cabaret, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Miss Nelson Is Missing).
It's been one of her greatest honors to work under the direction of Joe Cabral, Director of Theater, and she is passionately committed to inspiring, training, and developing the young theater artists at Walnut Hill.
