Summer Programs
- String Quartet Intensive
  The Walnut Hill String Quartet Intensive provides advanced young string players (ages 12–18) an exceptional week of coachings, masterclasses and a private lesson with inspiring faculty dedicated to each students’ growth.
- Summer Voice Intensive
  Young singers, ages 12 to 16, are invited to join our expert faculty to explore classical art song and lyrical musical theater repertoire in a supportive and encouraging environment.

Walnut Hill’s motto — Non nobis solum (“Not for ourselves alone”) — embodies our commitment to creating an anti-racist educational institution that is diverse, equitable, just, and inclusive for all. This timeline captures the highlights of our Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice (DEIJ) journey. While it is chronological, we acknowledge that there are gaps of information, times of little advancement, or seemingly no forward progress of DEIJ practices. The story of DEIJ at Walnut Hill is still being written. Every highlight represents a disruption of the status quo and serves as a critical building block for the future.
