Community Theater Academy

Building character through the arts

Students in the Community Theater Academy learn:

Community Theater Academy is a performing arts program where young artists grow as performers and people in a supportive, confidence building environment. Through full-scale productions, acting technique classes and private lessons, students gain skills in voice, movement, character development, dance, and storytelling while building teamwork, responsibility, and lasting friendships.

Proudly based at Walnut Hill School for the Arts, our students benefit from working in a professional, arts-centered environment that inspires excellence, creativity, and a deep respect for the craft.

From preschool adventures to high-energy junior musicals, our classes blend high artistic standards with an encouraging, inclusive atmosphere where every child feels valued and capable. At Community Theater Academy, we don’t just put on shows, we create a supportive artistic home where students discover their voice, take creative risks, and shine both onstage and off.

What Are People Saying About CTA?

“We chose CTA for the instructors, reputation, and location. It’s super child-focused and fun!”
— B.R., Wellesley Parent

“The positivity, the games, the movements and the fun is contagious. We don’t get the usual ‘good’ as an answer. We get long descriptions of the activities and games and overall excitement. We are so glad we found this program!”
— E.H., Natick Parent

“Low pressure environment but final performances are top notch!”
— E.D., Natick Parent

We have been fortunate enough to be a part of two wonderful productions. My daughter has grown more confident regarding public speaking, stage presence, and has made a few really good friends.
— E.K., Natick Parent
