Walnut Hill School for the Arts

Prospective Families: Please note that due to current COVID-19 precautionary measures, Walnut Hill students in all grades are currently learning remotely, as all schools in Massachusetts are closed through May 4. We’ve developed a robust remote learning site to help our current students navigate this new (temporary!) normal. Arts and academics classes happen both in real time and asynchronously as our experienced faculty engage all of our students across the globe. Visit our remote learning site here to see what life is like for current Dance, Music, Theater, Visual Art and Writing, Film & Media Arts majors. And if you haven’t yet, visit our Virtual Accepted Students Day page for another look at what life is like on the Hill, and whether you might be able to see yourself here. We have extended the enrollment deadline to April 20 – there is still time to secure your place at Walnut Hill in September.

Welcome to Walnut Hill!

Do you think your high school experience should look different? We think so.

At Walnut Hill, you don’t need to relegate the practice of your art to an after school activity, nor do you need to force your high school education to take a backseat to artistic pursuits. At Walnut Hill, you get to have it all.

We offer unparalleled training in dance; music; theater; visual art; and writing, film & media arts, complemented by a robust and innovative academic curriculum. Every aspect of our program helps you to grow as a bold artist, curious learner, and mindful citizen.
