Welcome to Walnut Hill!

Do you think your high school experience should look different? We think so.

At Walnut Hill, you don’t need to relegate the practice of your art to an after school activity, nor do you need to force your high school education to take a backseat to artistic pursuits. At Walnut Hill, you get to have it all. 

We offer unparalleled training in dance; music; theater; visual art; and writing, film & media arts, complemented by a robust and innovative academic curriculum. Every aspect of our program helps you to grow as a bold artist, curious learner, and mindful citizen. 

Admission Steps

1. Complete an Inquiry Form

If you would like to receive information about Walnut Hill School for the Arts, please fill out the Inquiry Form. After submitting your form, you will be mailed our Viewbook and will receive other mailings, including invitations to events and performances.

2. Schedule a Visit

All families interested in applying to Walnut Hill School for the Arts are encouraged to visit the campus for a tour. Tours are conducted during the academic day by student tour guides. Tours can be scheduled separately or can be arranged on the day of the applicant’s interview or scheduled audition. We are also happy to arrange for prospective families to attend one of the many performances and events that take place at the School throughout the year. contact the Admission Office at 508.650.5020 or email admissions@walnuthillarts.org to schedule a tour, an interview, and/or an audition or a portfolio review.

3. Apply

We are currently accepting applications for Fall 2019 as space remains available.

For applicants wishing to enroll in Fall 2020, submit your application materials by the priority deadline of January 15, 2020. Applications submitted after the 15th will be accepted on a rolling basis.

4. Schedule an Audition or Portfolio Review

As a component of the application for admission, we ask each student to demonstrate their readiness for intensive artistic study at Walnut Hill School for the Arts. We use auditions and/or portfolio reviews to evaluate applicants as part of the admission process. Each department has its own guidelines, which the applicant should review prior to scheduling an on-campus audition or portfolio review. Review our audition and portfolio review guidelines here.
