Walnut Hill School for the Arts

Humanities Introduction

On behalf of the Humanities Department, I’m excited to welcome you to the 2020-2021 school year at Walnut Hill!

The Humanities, like the arts, help us grow in our abilities to look within ourselves and beyond ourselves. They offer windows into the past and into the experiences of others. They help us answer important questions about what it means to be human. Below, you’ll find a listing of the Humanities course offerings for 2020-2021. We’ve adapted our offerings to best fit the calendar and schedule, but we maintain our emphasis on creating deep learning experiences that help students develop their skills, their ideas, and their voices.

I invite you – both students and families – to be in touch with any questions you may have about the program or about the student experience in Humanities classes.
