Catherine Zhang '27 Wins Imagination Catalyst Award

#CreateConnectCare recently awarded Catherine an Imagination Catalyst Award, which recognizes work demonstrating a creative and thoughtful approach to addressing youth mental health and well-being. Catherine received the award, and a $150 prize, for her composition "Prelude for Piano No. 1." Watch the video, featuring Amy Li '28, at createconnectcare.org/awards.

In other news, Catherine premiered a piece this past summer at the New Music/New Communities Initiative composers' conference in New Hampshire, alongside fellow Walnut Hill composer Oliver Ellsworth '25!
