Tommy Mesa '08 Receives Avery Fisher Career Grant

Cellist Tommy Mesa '08 has been awarded a 2025 Avery Fisher Career Grant, alongside violinist Joshua Brown and the Viano Quartet. Each recipient of this prestigious grant receives an award of $25,000, to be used for specific needs in advancing a career. Other Walnut Hill/NEC Prep alumni who have received past Avery Fisher Career Grants include pianists George Li '13 and Evren Ozel ’17.
