Hearts for the Hill: Our 8th Annual Telethon

January 14, 2022

Less than one month to go until Telethon 2022! This is our 8th Annual Walnut Hill Telethon, and the second to fall in the month of February, hence the name: Hearts for the Hill.

On Sunday, February 6, tune in at 6pm for a magical evening with our students, faculty, and alumni. During the two-hour show, you’ll see performances from Dance, Theater, and Music majors; artwork from Visual Art majors, and films from our Writing, Film & Media Arts students, in addition to moments of community togetherness and fun. Most important, we’ll be raising money for Walnut Hill’s Financial Aid Fund, which is instrumental in helping us provide a top-notch education to all our young artists, regardless of circumstances. Student volunteers in our on-campus call center will be reaching out to our broader community to ask for support—so if you see that Walnut Hill is calling, we hope you’ll pick up the phone and chat with our Walnuts!

Stay tuned for upcoming sneak peeks from this exciting show, which will be hosted by three members of the Class of 2022: Music major Yuki Huang, Dance major Kennedy Newell, and Theater major Macy Lenehan. In the meantime, you can still watch last year’s Telethon at walnuthillarts.org/telethon.

In the week leading up to Telethon, we hope you’ll also join us for the next installment of our Art Crush offerings, which we debuted last February. This engaging virtual series, hosted by Senior Development Officer Garrett Murphy ’08, is intended to provide an inside look into the work currently happening in each of our five arts majors.
