How would you like to spend part of your summer on a beautiful campus in Natick, MA, with all of your meals prepared for you, a large swimming pool, and many opportunities to experience quality productions in theater, dance, and classical music? Walnut Hill School is an independent, coeducational, boarding and day secondary school for the arts, for grades 9–12 (ages 13–18). The beautiful campus is located seventeen miles west of Boston in a stately residential neighborhood in Natick, Massachusetts. We provide the nation's premier summer arts intensive for young artists. Walnut Hill draws students from around the world. Our programs are designed to be challenging and fun. Walnut Hill offers exciting programs in Ballet, Creative Writing, Music and Theater. We attract students who are serious about their studies and who are seeking a level of study that would not typically be offered in an arts camp environment.
- 12 live-in positions: Head Resident Advisor or Resident Advisor
- Duties include: on-call in student dorm from 5:00pm – 7am daily and weekends
- Competitive compensation based on experience/schedule
- Mid-June through Mid-August (schedules vary)
- Room and board is provided throughout employment
Minimum qualifications to apply: Applicants must have the desire to work in a summer arts community of 300+ students ages 11-18. Resident advisors work in teams to provide supervision in the residence halls and on campus generally. Resident Advisors are on-call most evenings after 5:00pm and all weekends. Resident Advisors are given multiple weekdays and one weeknight off a week. Resident Advisors are expected to be on call every weekend.
Preference will be given to those who have past experience in residential life/camp counseling, have a high school diploma, and one or more years of college.
