SUMMER YOUTH DANCE INTENSIVE AUDITION INFORMATION
All students interested in attending the Summer Youth Dance Intensive must complete a dance audition.
Decisions will be communicated to dancers via the email used on your pre-registration form within two weeks of your audition date.

Audition: 10:30am – 12:30pm
Any student interested in a live audition MUST PRE-REGISTER by completely filling out the required information and paying the non-refundable audition fee of $40. Due to Federal, State and Local health guidelines, Day-of / Walk-In registrations will not be accepted this year. Auditioning dancers are asked to please bring a 4×6 or 5×7 photograph of first arabesque to your audition.
Walnut Hill reserves the right to cancel the audition if the minimum of 7 students is not met. If the audition is canceled, Walnut Hill will assist with audition transfers and/or refunds and accept video auditions.
VIRTUAL AUDITION - Summer Youth Dance Intensive
VIRTUAL REGISTRATION

10:30AM – 12:30PM
Students interested in auditioning virtually may register for our Zoom audition by completely filling out the required information and paying the non-refundable audition fee of $40. Dancers auditioning virtually are asked to please upload a 4×6 or 5×7 photograph of first arabesque to your account during the registration process.
DIgital Auditions
Digital audition submissions should be no longer than 10 minutes and must showcase barre and center work. Dancers must upload a first arabesque photograph and pay the $40 digital audition fee during the registration process.
Video recordings must include the following:
- Introduction (name, age and where you are from)
- Barre (3-5 brief combinations, one side only)
- Center floor work
- Tendu combination
- Pirouette combination
- Small jump combination
- Grand allegro
Recorded auditions will be evaluated on a rolling basis.
DRESS CODE
Girls should wear pink tights, pink ballet slippers and a solid leotard in any color. Canvas or leather ballet slippers are acceptable. Hair should be neatly pulled back and away from the face.
Boys should wear a fitted white leotard or tee shirt, black tights, and black ballet slippers or white ballet slippers with white ankle socks. Canvas or leather ballet slippers are acceptable.
